Fibre. Why and how should I eat it

Fibre is a hugely important part of our diet. See this BBC page (and please try to look past the grammar in the title) for alarming listings of just how much fibre we should consume, along with it’s health benefits.

We have been making barley risotto for a while now in a bid to modify cholesterol levels (see our cholesterol post). CSIRO discusses an Australian developed barley which appears to be even more beneficial. We’ve found products containing Barleymax in several large supermarkets. We recommend the breakfast cereal scattered on oats or the cereal bars.
